Description

Obtaining a residence permit in Slovakia during the pandemic without visiting the country
Due to the coronavirus, Slovakia does not allow foreigners to enter its territory on a Schengen visa C. Citizens of visa-free and visa-free third countries (non-EU members) can now come to Slovakia only on a national visa D. The ban on entry to Slovakia on a Schengen C visa may last until 2022, until the pandemic is overcome.

In the new conditions, we organize obtaining a residence permit by citizens of Russia, Ukraine and other countries at a distance without visiting Slovakia. People come to Slovakia to get a certificate (card) of a residence permit.

The easiest way to get a residence permit is through an individual entrepreneur (individual or private entrepreneur). After the establishment of the sole proprietor and the correct execution of all documents, the Slovak consulate will give a D visa to travel to Slovakia for a residence permit. After receiving it, the holder of a residence permit can live and do business in Slovakia and the EU.

A residence permit can also be obtained through the company. The procedure is similar, only more expensive. You need to have € 22,000 on the company's account, € 2,600 on your personal account.

Obtaining a residence permit through an individual entrepreneur in steps

1. Certificate of non-criminal record

The only document that is needed for the establishment of an individual entrepreneur is a certificate of non-conviction with an apostille. After receiving the certificate, the sole proprietor will establish up to 7 days. There is no need to visit the consulate. The translation of the certificate from Russian or Ukrainian into Slovak will be done by our partners - Slovak court translators.

2. Types of IP activities

The applicant for a residence permit will choose the types of activities of his sole proprietor. We will recommend him the most suitable types of activities to make the profit necessary to extend the residence permit. We will prepare other constituent documents.

3. Establishment of the sole proprietor

Sole proprietors are established by our lawyers. The legal address of the sole proprietor will be provided by a partner firm. The contract with her, together with a certificate of non-conviction and other documents, will be submitted to the business register živnostenský register. In a week, the sole proprietor will be.

4. Renting or buying an apartment for a residence permit address

We do not make false registration. We do not deal with "rubber" apartments, in which twenty families of foreigners are registered in 2-3 rooms. These addresses are known to the police, the police do not give a residence permit at a fictitious residence address.

By proxy of the applicant for a residence permit, we buy or rent a real apartment for 4 months.

Most often, customers choose the option of renting a small inexpensive 1-2-room apartment. The apartment is rented for 3-4 months while a residence permit is being made. The cost of renting for 4 months in Bratislava is about 1 000 - 1 200 €, in small towns twice cheaper. After moving to Slovakia for a residence permit, the client can rent or buy a larger apartment or house.

5. Originals of documents for a residence permit

For a residence permit, you need the originals of all documents no older than 90 days. From Slovakia, we send by courier to the client an extract from the business register and confirmation (osvedčenie) of the register, an honest statement from the owner of the property that he will provide accommodation at his address to the applicant for a residence permit (čestné vyhlásenie o poskytnutí ubytovania), a list of property ownership (list vlastníctva) and other documents necessary for a residence permit.

The client does the rest of the documents in his country, first of all, certificates from the bank.

6. Two certificates from the bank

The applicant for a residence permit needs to have two personal bank accounts. They should have money on them until he receives a residence permit. Then you can withdraw money from the accounts. Accounts must be separate, one common account is not allowed. The accounts should have:
4,300 € (20 times the subsistence minimum of 214.83 €). This will be an entrepreneurial account in the future.
2,600 € (12 times the subsistence minimum of 214.83 €). This will remain a personal account.

If the client has the opportunity to come to Slovakia, we will help him open two accounts in a Slovak bank. For certificates from the Slovak bank, it is not necessary that the accounts exist for at least 3 months. An account in a Slovak bank cannot be opened by proxy to another person.

If it is not possible to visit Slovakia, you need to get certificates from the Bank of Russia, Ukraine or another country in euros or the currency of the country. In terms of euros, these amounts should correspond to 4,300 € and 2,600 €. Statements from a foreign bank must be 3 months in advance. You need to have different accounts. We need original account statements translated into Slovak by a Slovak court interpreter. We will give you a contact for Slovak court interpreters in Russia, Ukraine or Slovakia.

7. Electronic queue at the Consulate of Slovakia

You need to take a queue on the website of the Embassy of Slovakia 3-4 months in advance. Sometimes there are empty seats earlier, if someone refuses the queue.

8. Submission of documents for a residence permit to the consulate

The queue at the Consulate of Slovakia in Moscow should be occupied by filling out an electronic form on the consulate's website at least 2-4 months before visiting the consulate. There are no empty seats before. We advise you to join the queue immediately after the establishment of an individual entrepreneur or the purchase of real estate in Slovakia.
It is also very important to fill out the D visa form correctly. It is difficult for beginners to do this. We fill out the form for our clients.

In other countries, the queue at the consulate may be shorter in time.

If the documents are prepared correctly, the consulate will send them to the foreign police of Slovakia. The police will issue a permit for a residence permit for up to 3 months and send it to his consulate.

9. National Visa D

On this basis, the consulate will issue a national D visa to the police. According to it, the applicant for a residence permit will come to Slovakia. He will spend 5 days in mandatory quarantine, then he will do a test. With a negative test result, he will visit the police.

10. Residence permit

In the police, the applicant for a residence permit will be photographed, fingerprinted and in 3 days will receive a residence permit card. You can take the card personally or order its delivery for 3 € by courier.

11. Expenses after obtaining a residence permit

190 € – medical examination, you need to pass up to 1 month after obtaining a residence permit.
274 € – compulsory medical insurance of foreigners for emergency care - you need to conclude up to 3 days after receiving a residence permit card.

12. Extension of residence permit

The first residence permit is given for 1.5 years. In order for the residence permit to be extended for the next period, the sole proprietor must make a profit and pay income tax of 15%.
To extend the residence permit for 1 year, the net profit must be at least 4,230 € (20 times the subsistence minimum of 214.83 €).
The gross profit before taxation should be 5,100 €.This amount should remain after deducting all expenses of the sole proprietor for accounting, material, insurance and other necessary expenses of the sole proprietor.
At the same time, the amount of € 4,414.20 is not subject to income tax for sole proprietors.

Sole proprietor pays 15% income tax on the amount 585,8 € (5 000 € - 4 414,20 € = 585,8 €).
That is, the sole proprietor's income tax will be only 103 €.
Only this amount should be paid by the sole proprietor to extend the residence permit for 1 year. Usually extended for 1.5 years.

You can extend the residence permit immediately for 2 or 3 years. To do this, you need to get a larger profit.
