Historic lakefront villa
History and nobleness on the lakefront are the intimate essence of this unique and inimitable dwelling, whose storiographic presence on Bardolino's shoreline is documented as far back as the mid-16th century through rare topographies of the time, in which the building architecture is described as a 'fifteenth-century stately building'.
The prestigious residence of noble families, 'Villa Terzi' renamed 'Villa delle Rose' in 1821, retains late-Gothic finishes and thanks to the first major restoration in 1842, its Gothic-Renaissance image was reinforced when the former small garden in front of the Villa was transformed into the precious formal garden that still stands today between the facade and the lake.
The interior rooms are embellished with a fine and rare fresco decoration in the "Biedermeier" style, the rooms are enriched with natural decorations designed to give a sense of openness to the landscape and lake views. In the main hall, where the large three-mullioned window open onto the lake stands out, the neoclassical Carrara marble fireplace with Doric columns, the Venetian seminato floor depicting the Chiron centaur and the ceiling with allegories by the painter Filippo Nereo Vignola.
At the end of the 1990s, the current ownership, driven by a profound passion for the antique taste and a love for the prestige of this extraordinary residence, completed significant restoration works that, while fully preserving the Villa's original character, adapted its functionality to today's needs, also thanks to the skillful renovation of all the installations, which have recently been updated to the most contemporary and high standards.
The property is located directly in the historic centre of Bardolino overlooking the main promenade and consists of three floors plus the charming turret with a 360 degree view. The dominant part facing the lake hosts the principal rooms of the villa such as the main living room with access to the garden, the dining room and kitchen, several rooms that can be used as required, three large double bedrooms with bathroom, the master bedroom complete with bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen, two service bathrooms and a study. On the ground floor are the old vaulted cellars and some service rooms.
The rear part of the villa overlooking the historic centre, connected internally but also with an independent entrance, houses two mini-apartments, each with living-dining room, bedroom and bathroom, and a multi-purpose room on the ground floor.
A truly unique and inimitable property, to experience the enchantment of Lake Garda in an exclusive way.
