Wonderful attic in a charming historic building in the heart of the ancient Borgo Piave, in Belluno.
Palazzo Doglioni is located in the heart of the ancient Borgo Piave, in Belluno, was popularly nicknamed the "Botegon", or tavern, by the workers who gravitated around the village. The city of Belluno, natural gateway to the Dolomites, has always been in a strategic position given the equal proximity between the sea and the mountains. The building, which belonged to the noble Doglioni family, stands out compared to other neighbouring houses both for the compactness of its size and for its sixteenth-century architectural features. The plant is in fact very old, at least fifteenth century, but expands and takes on its current elegant appearance between the end of the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. The restoration of the building was carried out under the control of the Superintendence of Venice. Floors in terracotta and larch wood, wooden ceilings, plaster and frescoes of great value give each unit an aesthetic value of the highest level.
The fifth unit is an attic that measures about 130 sqm, spread over the entire attic and is composed as follows: living room, kitchen, a twin bedroom, a double bedroom with private bathroom, a further bathroom, a laundry room, two closets wardrobe, attic areas. The environment is very warm and characterized by the ceiling made of wooden beams and precious floors. The floors are in terracotta and/or Cugna stone squares, rooms in larch wood slats. To this unit corresponds a cellar on the ground floor, with access from the common area. The area is well served by public transport and close by are shops, service and craft activities, schools and offices.
