Stoliv - is a picturesque village in the Bay of Kotor, at the foot of the Vrmatz mountain range, located opposite the ancient city of Perast. The village acquired its name from the merger of the words "one hundred olives trees", because according to an old tradition, when a young man ask for married to a girl, he had to plant a hundred olive trees. Due to this, the village is immersed in olive groves. In the upper part of the village, at an altitude of 240m, there are two magnificent churches - (16th century) and St. Anna (12-13th century), surrounded by a pomegranate grove. From the lower part of the village, an old stone road leading through a chestnut grove leads to the top, along the road you will see many cyclamens who have chosen this land. In the lower (coastal) part there are the Church of St. Mary and the Church of St. Basil with unique frescos from the end of the 15th century. Beautiful camellia bushes grow here in abundance. According to legend, one of the sailors brought it here in the 18th century for his wife, the annual Camellia festival with an exhibition of flowers, an art gallery and the obligatory choice of Queen Camellia is held here. On the mountain slopes of Stoliv grows many medicinal herbs and flowers that saturate the sea air with nutrients, making it even more useful.
