Farm Acquadolce in Ruffano
Expertly renovated by a well-known Italian architect, this hotel is located in the municipality of Ruffano, immersed in the lush Salento countryside. It is about 15 km from the sea.
The structure develops on one level and extends between the main house, the dependence and a wing separated from the entrance courtyard. The main garden, with a splendid swimming pool, is connected, through large glass doors, to the living room, dining room and kitchen of the rooms. The numerous plants in the garden offer vast areas of shade for relaxation. The outdoor table is placed under a shady pergola of fragrant jasmines overlooking the swimming pool, in front of the kitchen door and next to the barbecue. The garden includes olive trees and prickly pears and bougainvillea. Two smaller courtyards, one at the entrance with a couple of palm trees, and another next to the kitchen with figs and fruit trees, complete the exterior.
In the imposing entrance hall of the main house, in pure tones of white and ocher - which we will find in all rooms - everything is perfectly intact, sober and elegant ... majestic like the centenary olive trees that surround the large swimming pool. The hall leads directly to the living room, a spacious room with high vaulted ceilings, a large fireplace and large French doors that open onto the garden, terraces and swimming pool.
Another area is used as a dining room with a long table and a spacious and profes-sionally equipped kitchen. The kitchen also has a glass door that leads to the outdoor table next to the swimming pool and the herb garden.
The rooms that make up this hotel are nine, all with private bathrooms. Three of them are located in the main house: one overlooking the swimming pool is directly accessible from the living room, the other, overlooking one of the courtyards, can be reached through the main entrance. An additional bedroom is located in the swimming pool pavilion (about 20 meters from the main house). Others are in a separate wing in the entrance courtyard. The last bedroom is in the dependence.
The property is located on a private site of seven hectares. Consistency: hotel structure 600 sq. m - guardian house 100 sq. m - 70,000 sq. m of olive groves within which it is possible to develop the construction of two further buildings.
