The city of Bodø (population 50 thousand people) is located north of the Arctic Circle, is the largest city in the administrative center of Nordland and the second largest city in Northern Norway.
The climate will be mild, but quite windy, because the city is located on an unprotected peninsula in the Norwegian Sea. Snow cover during winter is rare not only because of the wind, but also because of the temperate winter climate for this latitude.
Bude is one of the largest transport hubs in Norway. Hurtigrutten ferries enter the port of Buda. Bude is the extreme northern railway station of the Nordland railway line belonging to the Norwegian railway network (the Malbanen railway between Narvik and the Swedish city of Luleå). Buda Airport is located 2 km from the city center.
