Korcula Island is located in southern Dalmatia. This 46-kilometer island with a 182-kilometer coastline with many bays is the sixth largest island of the Adriatic. You can enjoy the beautiful weather and the warm sea most of the year. The average summer temperature is 26.9 °C, the air temperature is 25 °C. Korcula is also one of the most densely wooded islands on the Adriatic.

The city of Korcula is one of the best preserved medieval cities of the Mediterranean, with city walls built in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries that were built around the old town. Mention of the city is already in the 10th century (Constantine Porphyrogenet). The famous sailor and merchant Marco Polo was born in Korcula in 1254. There are many historical sights in the city (the cathedral, the city walls with towers, the town hall, the birthplace of Marco Polo and others).

Vela Luka is the largest city on the island, 8 km from the villa. The city has many shops, a shopping center, many restaurants with a rich selection of Mediterranean cuisine and local wines that are known all over the world.
