BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT

In the mid-80s of the last century, a state program was launched in Finland, designed to instill the love of the population for sports and active recreation. In many regions, slopes were cleared and ski lifts were installed. Thus, a ski center appeared on Mount Lekotinmaki, which later became the core of a family tourist center. In the period from 2011-2015, after the change of ownership, 8 accommodation facilities, a rope park were built, the equipment of the ski center was updated, the park of summer and winter rental equipment was replaced and significantly expanded.

The center is located on the territory of the municipality of Savonranta (municipality of Savonlinna, Finland). Historically, these places are considered "summer cottages" for residents of large Finnish cities, offering everything that is called a "traditional Finnish vacation". The variety of lakes, mixed forests, favorable climate and the unhurried flow of time create excellent conditions for a "traditional Finnish holiday", attracting both families with children and tourist groups to Lekotti.

WINTER SEASON/SLOPE CHARACTERISTICS

• The winter season, as a rule, begins at the end of December and lasts until the first decade of April;

• The ski center is open daily during the New Year holidays, spring school holidays, as well as 3 weeks during the Finnish "ski" holidays; the rest of the time – on Saturdays and Sundays.

• The maximum height difference is 75 m .

• The longest slope is 650 m.

It offers cozy and comfortable wooden villas for 6-8 people, built in 2011 by HONKA, and KIMARA cottages for 4 people, commissioned in 2015. 4 Villas – 3 bedrooms (7 beds) + extra bed; total – 32 beds 4 Cottages – 2 bedrooms (4 beds); total – 16 beds. TOTAL: 48 beds / 700 sq.m. The houses have everything you need for a good rest (electric sauna, washing machine, drying cabinet, a full set of dishes and kitchen appliances).

Villas and cottages are located right on the slope, which adds positive emotions to lovers of downhill skiing.

The kitchens are equipped with everything you need. In villas, a set of dishes for 10 people, in cottages – for 4.

In terms of comfort, the center surpasses most of the organized accommodation facilities in the Savonlinna region.

4-bed cottages are the most popular accommodation format. A great option for families with children.

SUMMER SEASON/ROPE PARK

• The rope park was built in 2015 by Faszinatour, one of the leading German companies specializing in the design and construction of rope parks;

• The rope park consists of 36 elements and 7 Zip Lin(s), the obstacles are located at a height of 4 and 8 meters;

• The park is open from May 1 to November 1, from June 15 to August 15, open every day;

• Groups of 10 people or more are served on any day by appointment.
