Donjon médiéval Monument historique ? XVème /
The dungeon stands 35 meters high and overlooks the surrounding countryside. The principal tower is a 5-storey structure consisting of several reception rooms, bedrooms, and an auditorium. Original wooden beams are a feature, and the roof was completely renovated in 2018.
Part of the old service quarters (2 floors) have been converted.
Separate from the main building is the dwelling of the manor house which contains three bedrooms. Its monumental fireplaces, with the domain?s old chapel with vaulted ceiling and spiral staircase contribute to create a timeless atmosphere.
The property includes the former stables and the caretaker?s house, all which lie within the grounds, which boast magnificent century-old trees. Whilst the property remains secluded, it is situated in the heart of a quiet village, between Berry, Bourgogne and Bourbonnais.
The origins of the fortress can be traced back to the XV century. The whole site remains listed and is noted as a ?Monument Historique?. The property lends itself to multiples possibilities for the future purchasers; touristic visits, events, exhibitions and concerts which would all contribute to the upkeeping of the domain.
Further additional dwellings could also be a possibility.
