Charming castle for sale in the centre
The Castle dei Naselli d'Aragona, one of the most important historical buildings in Comiso, is for sale in the province of Ragusa. Probably built around the 12th century, this property has had a long history: partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1693, in 1841 it was home to a theater, and then sold to a Sicilian aristocratic family, who settled in this enchanting mansion. Although a large part of the Aragonese Castle of Comiso was destroyed in the earthquake of 1693, it is still possible to admire several remains dating back to its origins. At the time, it had a drawbridge that guaranteed protection. On the right of the current building, it is still possible to admire the most historic part, represented by a baptistery that proudly houses several frescoes dating back to the Byzantine era. On the north side there is an 18th-century loggia with frescoes depicting landscapes and animals.
