Podere Capannelle is a large farmhouse complex dating back to at least 1509. It sits on a small
hill within a large 2500-acre private estate and has gorgeous and unobstructed
360-degree views of the surrounding medieval villages and countryside. It is
optimally located within a twenty minute drive of the main Rome-Florence
tollway as well as the beautiful villages of Pienza, Montepulciano, Radicofani,
Montalcino, Sarteano, Cetona, San Quirico, Bagno Vignoni and many others.
The
present owners rebuilt the property using modern construction and finishing
standards, while keeping the original perimeters, style and character of the
buildings, which is mandatory in this valley registered on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. The house is
decorated in classical Italian style with Tuscan marbles, hardwoods, hand-baked
terracottas, stone and lime-based paints and contains beautiful antique
furniture.
The
house has eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, divided evenly between the main
house and a spacious annex with its own dining room and kitchenette and can sleep
15 adults in total. Its indoor living area covers well over 6,000 square feet
and is surrounded by lovely terraces and grounds, offering multiple options for
enjoying the views and entertaining family and friends. It has an infinity
pool, a small exercise room, plentiful parking, central air conditioning,
satellite and digital TV, centralized wireless stereo, fast broadband wi-fi
throughout the property, a private elevator, home cinema, video security and
alarm systems, multiple safes for guests’ use and a climate-controlled wine
cellar. It also comes with three full-time non-resident staff (two full-time staff in the lower seasons), providing 7-day
per week daily room and bathroom cleaning, breakfast and regular linen changes.
This marvelous property allows its guests to rest in luxury and at the same time have access to the best that Tuscany can offer.
