The large house belonged to the Counts of Gerardesca and in ancient times it was inhabited by 5 peasant families who operated mills and agriculture.
Since 1985, it has been owned by a German artist and writer who lovingly restored the old house, preserving all the Tuscan elements, such as ceilings with wooden beams, cross vaults, terracotta floors, brick arches and stone fireplaces.
