The Residence of Philosophers is a tribute to the aspiring people who follow their path, their philosophy, their choices. The main task of the project creators is to create an environment that encourages its inhabitants to continue their chosen path, to help discover opportunities in the search for new ideas and goals. Each element of the block is designed so that each citizen can live according to his or her own philosophy.
LOCATION
The Residence of Philosophers is located in Riga, on the left bank of the Daugava (Pardaugava). The location of the project is truly unique: only a 20 minute walk to the Old Town, a 15 minute drive to the airport and 20 minutes to the largest resort city of the Baltic Sea - Jurmala.
Long-term development plans on the right shore have opened up countless opportunities for business and leisure. In recent years, Pardaugava has become a “home” for new public objects: the Bank of Latvia, the Institute of Medicine, the main building of Swedbank, the State Archives, the National Library, a campus with a swimming pool and an exhibition hall in Kipsala. Next to it are shopping malls, restaurants and modern residential complexes. All the necessary infrastructure (care facilities, shops, educational and sports facilities, recreation centers) is just a 10-minute walk away.
QUARTER ARCHITECTURE
The architecture of the building retains the basic idea of ​​the complex - visually, the building resembles a stack of books, each floor a new book, new content with its own philosophical approach to life. Terraces and balconies of various sizes and directions assist the architect with visualization of the image, providing residents with the opportunity for meditative relaxation. We have invited Andris Kronbergs, a leading Latvian architect, owner and director of the ARHIS architectural firm, to design the project to the highest quality standards.
A unique feature of the project's architecture is the location of the first floor, which is 14 meters above ground level. Only the supporting columns and the spacious 12-meter-high entrance hall are at ground level. Such a solution allows for an effective expansion of the recreational area. At ground level, under the roof, which is intended as the second floor of the building, there are ping-pong, basketball and novus fields. There will be a recreation area with 3 children's playgrounds in the project area.
HAIR INTERIORS
The 12-meter-high entrance hall, featuring a "book leaf," houses a library of works by philosophers as well as other bright minds and poets who inspired this project. Through the glass walls you can see the Philosopher's Alley, the masterfully landscaped and illuminated shore of the ancient Daugava, overgrown with centuries-old oaks and maples.
FLATS
The basic project includes two-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and one-bedroom apartments. The apartment area is available from 52 up to 144 square meters, with the possibility to combine the apartments even in the later stages of construction. Each apartment has a terrace of 5.5-100 square meters with a width of at least 1.8 meters. The ceiling height of the apartments is at least 3.05 meters, in the upper floor apartments - 6.75 meters.
