State tax on transfer of property rights
The fee is 2-4% of the price of the property specified in the notary act.
The tax percentage depends on the type of real estate. For an apartment that is legally movable property (according to the Finnish law), you will have to pay 2% of the cost. But real estate properties such as a cottage by the lake are subject to a higher rate – 4%.
Notary's fee
A notary in Finland is the guarantor of the legality of the transaction, he certifies the contract of sale. Therefore, you can't do anything without their presence. The estimated cost of services is €100-200.
After-sale property registration
It is €119 (when it comes to real estate)
Registration documents must be submitted within six months from the date of the transaction. Otherwise, you will have to pay pennies, the amount of which depends on the time of "delay". Property registration usually takes 2-3 months.
