The international consulting company Knight Frank has published the 13th Sky Property Index report. It is about the changes of the prices of luxury real estate in the French and Swiss Alps over the past 12 months.
Analysts considered a four-bedroom chalet located in the center of each resort as a basic unit for price statistics.

Key facts:
For the first time in three years, the ranking of the most rapidly rising Alpine resorts was headed by locations in Switzerland. One of the reasons is a shortage of supply and strong local demand. However, the pandemic has revealed other advantages of Swiss independence. The country was able to establish its own border crossing rules and became the only state in Europe to open its ski slopes in December 2020. In addition, the attractiveness of the country has fueled its ability to cope with the coronavirus.
In France, all ski resorts were closed from March 2020 to June 2021. Despite this, the property continued to change owners. Chamonix (+6.1%) and Megeve (+4.7%) were the leaders in price growth, mainly due to convenient access from cities such as Milan, Turin and Geneva.
