House prices in the southern suburbs of Athens are the highest in the country.
According to the results of the second quarter of 2022, residential real estate on the Athenian Riviera turned out to be the most expensive in all of Greece.

According to the Spitogatos Real estate Index (SPI), in the second quarter of 2022, the average asking price for houses for sale in the southern suburbs of Athens was the highest in the country (€3,067 per sq. m.). High demand from foreign and local buyers for their own living and investment leads to an annual increase in prices by 10%.
Numerous infrastructure projects stimulate further growth in demand and prices in this location.
The Cycladic Islands became the second after Athens in terms of housing costs. The average cost of residential real estate in the archipelago is € 2,887 per sq. m. In annual equivalent, real estate in this region has risen in price by 6.9%
But the cheapest region in the country was Florina, for a square of housing here, on average, you will have to pay €542. Over the year, housing here has increased in price by 6.1%.
Rent. The lowest price was recorded in Kilkis (a small town north of Thessaloniki) – €3.57 per sq.m, and the highest – in Halkidiki – €32.5 per sq. m.
