Digital Nomad Index 2021

  • 40
The events of 2020 have changed our approach to everyday life in many ways. One of the major obstacles was the lack of access to the office. Many of us have become a bit of freelancers ourselves, in a futile attempt to create our own office at home. But we can draw quite positive conclusions from this.

The opportunity to work from home has become a revelation for many office workers: it turns out that it is not necessary to sit within dusty walls of the office. It is enough to have a good Internet connection and a fast computer. Some went even further with the conclusions, realizing that nothing keeps them even in their own country, work does not require a constant presence nearby.

The operator Circleloop conducted its own research to find out which countries are most suitable for digital nomads – people whose life and work do not depend on being in the same place, only a computer is needed. The calculations were based on the speed of broadband and mobile Internet in different countries, the availability of special tourist visas that allow you to work for yourself, the cost of renting a one-room apartment and the level of the world happiness index.

Top 3 Countries for Digital Nomads

Canada

Canada

Canada is very popular countries among IT workers, and this does not cause any unnecessary questions. According to the study, the query "remote work in Canada" also took the first place – 83,900 requests annually! More than 20% of the country's population are migrants from different countries. At the same time, Canada is one of the ten happiest countries in the world. All this suggests that any remote user will feel as comfortable as possible.

The UK

London is one of the largest metropolitan areas, where a huge number of international companies are located. Yes, it will not be easy to find a job on the spot, but anything is possible, especially given the large number of migrants coming to this country.
