400,487 housing transactions were conducted in Italy in the first six months of 2022.
According to the Gabetti research bureau, 400,487 housing transactions were conducted in Italy in the first six months of 2022. This is 10% more than in the same period of 2021. Analysts have studied the data of the Tax Administration to assess the situation on the housing market in the main Italian cities.
The cities recording positive dynamics of housing sales:
Milan. Home sales increased by 17.5% in the first six months. However, compared to the second quarter, the growth is modest (+3.8%).
Palermo. Home sales in this city increased by 11.9% in the first six months of the year and by 8.8% compared to the second quarter of 2021.
Bologna. The number of transactions jumped by 11.5% compared to the second quarter of 2021.
Genoa. This city ended the first half of the year with sales growth of 5.2% year-on-year. Compared to the second quarter of 2021, there was an increase of 6.5%.
Rome. The capital showed excellent results in the second quarter of 2022 (+11.1%), along with Bologna. And the city finished the first half of the year with a growth rate of 9%.
