Carphone Warehouse has published a rating of the best cities in the world for freelancers and digital nomads. Experts took into account the level of employment, the average monthly salary, the number of available coworking spaces, Internet speed, the cost of living, the amount of rent, the level of health care and, finally, the opportunity for entertainment, HR news writes.
Austin, the capital city of Texas, took the highest position due to it's high average salary ($4,600 pe month), as well as opportunities for active entertainment and quality of life. However, the disadvantages are the high cost of living and rent, as well as the lack of coworking spaces.
Thai Chiang Mai was in second position due to high Internet speed, quality health care, rent levels and entertainment. However, even here there are not enough coworking spaces.
Berlin also does not boast a large number of coworking spaces. But it has a high standard of living and a rich cultural life.
