And the bigger supermarkets Super Pola and Jumbo are 20-minute drive away from the area. You can get on foot in just 5-10 minutes to the big and well-equipped gym So Good Fitness. It takes only 12-15 minutes in any direction from El Cortecito district to get to bank offices and downtown itself.

A route 105 runs through Bavaro and you can use it to get to the main highway Coral. It leads to the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo. So the way to the capital will take about 2,5 hours. There are also intercity buses. That will take you to the capital in 4 hours for 500 pesos (9 dollars) fare.
