Kotor - is an ancient fortress city at the very end of the Boko-Kotor Bay. The ancient, stone city is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city is surrounded by a fortress wall, going up into the mountains - it is a well-preserved fortification system 4.5 kilometers long and up to 20 meters high. The city reached its peak during the reign of the Italians, which is clearly visible in its architecture. In the Middle Ages, the city was one of the largest centers of commerce and navigation in the Mediterranean. The city has many old churches with an interesting history, cozy streets and cafes in small squares that preserve the spirit of history. Each house on the central streets is the Palazzo - the house of a noble family in which the owners lived, their relatives and servants. Currently, Kotor is one of the most famous tourist cities in Montenegro, which has managed to preserve the spirit of history and the unique charm of a cozy Mediterranean city.
