About the author
By education, Roman is a construction technician-technologist and lawyer. Both degrees have been obtained in Belarus. In 1996-1998, he worked for the newspapers Delovye Vedomosti and De Facto in Mogilev. In 1999-2005 he was a journalist and editor of the Latvian newspaper Business and Baltia, and a freelance correspondent for the Russian branch of BBC radio and the Russian newspaper Kommersant. From 2005 to the present day he is an editor of the Latvian magazine "Square meter" and the portal Varianti.lv.
He has been covering the Latvian real estate market for more than 20 years. Regurarly invited to the Latvian TV and radio channels as an expert on the Latvian real estate market. Participated in numerous Russian, Ukrainian and Kazakh exhibitions dedicated to the foreign real estate market. Awarded by the Latvian Real Estate Association as the best Russian-language journalist covering the Latvian real estate market.
