The villa for sale is located in a splendid position with a 360 degree view of the entire Ligurian coast and the town of Camogli. Its construction dates back to the 1920s on commission from lawyer Bertolotto (mayor of Camogli for a long time) and his wife Countess Maria Pia Bianchi di Lavagna. The plans and works were followed by the Genoese engineer and architect Renzo Picasso, also known for having designed Piazza de Ferrari in Genoa.
The property is accessed through an automatic gate, and you follow a pleasant slightly uphill road surrounded by greenery that ends in front of the two pertinent garages. The villa is surrounded by a garden of about 18,000 square meters equipped with gazebos, tables, and a panoramic stone tower with a small terrace above. The atrium is connected via a large glass door also to the living room and through a long corridor with large windows, also served by a secondary entrance, you reach the large eat-in kitchen with double marble sink and custom-made furniture, a slate bench around at the table, then a beautiful dining room with French doors opening onto the garden and a terrace with a breathtaking view. A fireplace decorated with majolica warms the room. Another wing of the villa includes two connected bedrooms and a bathroom, and still below a large area now used as an office / warehouse.
On the ground floor, with a beautiful terrace also exposed to the sea, there is an additional apartment stacked but still to be restored, while the rest of the properties are in perfect condition.
The house is elegantly finished, has decorated and frescoed ceilings and the floors are inlaid. Small lobed windows characterize the exterior, as well as the marble bas-relief depicting the lion of San Marco.
Adjacent to the main property, but with independent access we find the annex in a turret on several floors connected by an oval-shaped slate spiral staircase. There are two bedrooms with decorated ceilings, a bathroom, a toilet, a kitchen, a small terrace with a view. On the top floor, with views on all four sides through large windows, we have a large living room with a beautiful fresco depicting the sun god and the constellations, painted in the posthumous phase of the construction by the Genoese artist Giovanni Battista Semino.
