House on Costa Brava, Spain, 1 000 sq.m

This spacious modern style villa boasts the privilege of being one of the largest houses in the Mas Nou urbanization in Playa d'Aro, on a 3600 m2 plot of land that is the result of the merging of two plots. The plot has a garden and an oak forest.

Added to this is the advantage that it is isolated from the densest area of urbanization, which allows for greater privacy.

The author of the project is the designer and builder Alex Gertse, a specialist in large mansions and a proponent of creating transparent and multipurpose interior spaces that are open to the needs of various home owners.

Unlike many other houses in Mas Nou, the main façade of the house faces a large part of Gavarre with its harsh but beautiful orography and sparsely populated buildings.

The side façade is oriented to the southeast and overlooks the sea and the vast bay of Palamos.

House of 1000 m2 distributed between the basement, first and second floors.

From the entrance hall, we enter a large open-plan living room, which houses a living room with great views thanks to large windows.

The uniqueness of the dining room is that it seems to float in the air thanks to the glass floor, from which you can see the wine cellar located in the basement.

The kitchen, spacious and equipped with all kinds of gadgets for preparing Mediterranean and Oriental dishes, is completely open to the dining room. At the other end of the ground floor is a double room with a bathroom and a large room for the little ones in the house, also with its own bathroom and one of the windows overlooking the indoor heated pool located next to the living room. A unique colonial air thanks to the warmth of African wood and ceramic tiles. Huge windows flood the room with light. From here begins a staircase leading to the basement where there is a gym with spa, steam sauna, eucalyptus sauna and hot tub.

Also on the ground floor, which can be accessed from the basement or from the gym, we find ourselves in a huge summer room with plenty of natural light and impressive views of the oak forest.

This Mediterranean-inspired living room features oversized sofas, a movie screen and access to two guest bedrooms, one of which is a suite, and a fully equipped bathroom.

On the ground floor we also have a service apartment, with a double room, living room, kitchen and bathroom.

The house has an outdoor pool measuring 15 x 4 meters, located in the recreation area, where you can sunbathe in Balinese hammocks or barbecue under a bioclimatic gazebo.

The main room is occupied by the upper mezzanine. It consists of a living room, bedroom and bathroom with a spa bath. The bathroom opens onto a sunny and cozy terrace overlooking the sea.
