Malta to Revise the Golden Visa Program

The Maltese Government will begin reviewing residence programs, such as the Golden Visa program, to reflect the international changes taking place in the field of tax residency.

Details. The necessary changes will be made to update the legislation on these programs so that Malta remains attractive and the integrity of such programs is maintained taking into account the current international pressure.

Context. Not so long ago the European Commission sued Malta because of the golden passports program. At the moment, both programs are suspended for Russians and Belarusians.
