New record in the real estate market of Cyprus

The second highest number of property sales was registered in March since records began in 2000.

What's happened? According to official statistics from the Department of Lands and Surveys, March 2023 saw the second highest number of property sales in this month in Cyprus since records began in 2000.

Details. The total number of property transactions in March 2023 reached 1,352, which demonstrates an increase of 23% in comparison with March 2022.

Regions. Although sales in Nicosia and Larnaca fell by 17% and 12% respectively compared to March 2022, they rose in the other three districts. Paphos led the way in percentage terms, followed by Limassol and Larnaca with the highest number (507) registered in Limassol.

Quarterly data. The number of sales in the first quarter of 2023 reached 3,574, representing an increase of 19% compared to the first quarter of 2022.

The number of sales has risen in all districts except for Nicosia.
