The COVID-19 Resistance Rating, prepared by Bloomberg, uses a wide range of data to determine where the pandemic is being fought most effectively, with the least social and economic disruption – from mortality rates and testing to access to vaccines and freedom of movement. This time, the analysis presents results for 53 countries around the world.
Rating. The top ten countries with the highest resistance to coronavirus as of the end of April 2021 are:
Russia took the 22nd position, the United States - 17th, the United Kingdom - 18th, Portugal and Spain - 23rd and 24th respectively, Germany - 26th. In the last three positions were Argentina, Poland and Brazil.
The number of cases of local transmission of the virus in Singapore has fallen to almost zero, thanks to border restrictions and a strict quarantine program that allows citizens to largely go about their daily lives, even attending concerts an join cruises. It turned out that vaccination alone would not stop the pandemic.
